The University of Ghana and the Wellcome Centre for Anti-Infectives Research (WCAIR) are pleased to announce a conference in Accra from March 12-14, 2025, focusing on African-led research in drug discovery for endemic infectious diseases.

This event will gather prominent drug discovery researchers from across Africa, alongside industry experts and representatives from Product Partner Development organizations. The goal is to strengthen existing networks, foster new collaborations, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge in the field.

The conference welcomes participants at all career stages, featuring invited keynote speakers,

presentations from early career researchers, and numerous networking opportunities.

To support early career researchers, travel bursaries will be available for attendees from across Africa. All African early career researchers who submit an abstract for a poster or short talk will be eligible to apply for these funds.
